春のしくみ

わからないブタでご紹介した和田淳くんが、今度は、その次作“春のしくみ”で、つまりは最新作でヴェネチア国際映画祭に公式招待されました。今頃は和田くんもヴェニスにいるはず。建築においては、妹島さんディレクションのヴェニスビエンナーレ建築展、そして、そこでの石上さんの金獅子賞など話題つづき＠ヴェニス。和田くんも受賞に輝くといいな～と願います。

キャプテン有田自身が大ファンなことからPR中。今シドニーは春が到来したところなので、有田＠シドニーにはピッタリ。日本はまだまだ暑いようですね。

Japanese artist, ATSUSHI WADA‘s newest work, “春のしくみ－HARU NO SHIKUMI(THE MECHANISM OF SPRING)”, has been invited to the 67th Venice International Film Festival. The festival is from 1 to 11 of  September 2010. His work, “HARU NO SHIKUMI(THE MECHANISM OF SPRING)” is screening as part of program called ‘Orizzonti-the new trends in world cinema’, on the following days and places.

誰でも一年に一度はおそわれるという春のうずうず感。気にはなっていたけれど、どこかで見ないふりをしていた春のうずうず感。このうずうず感のメカニズムの解明に果敢に挑戦する。登場するのはカメ、カエル、カタツムリ、カラスなど。春の訪れを感じているからだろうか。みんなどこかそわそわしている。人間の子どもたちも抑えきれない喜びをTシャツにぶつけている。春はこんなにも生き物たちをうずうずさせるのか。

Everyone is on tiptoe to feel the coming of spring once in a year. Everyone knows the special feeling in the early spring time, but we have assumed that we could’t express it exactly. I try to discover the mechanism of spring, the feeling on tiptoe, with a turtle, frogs, a snail, crow, and so on. I am wondering why everyone seems excited and on edge for spring’s coming. Children are also so excited that they can’t contain their joy but throw off their T-shirt to feel the warm spring air. Why, I wonder, the spring make even animals get so excited?
